Joksimovic: Chapter 31 will hardly be opened before end-year

BELGRADE - Lithuania still opposes the opening of Chapter 31 (Foreign, Security and Defence Policy) in the EU accession talks with Serbia, primarily due to Belgrade's relations with Moscow, and Serbian European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic believes it will likely not be opened before the end of the year.


"The procedure of the talks is such that, if halfway through the current year you know a report has not been adopted, then it is clear that it (a chapter) can hardly be opened by the end of the year," she said.
