BELGRADE - The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) does not support a frozen conflict in Kosovo-Metohija and advocates a continuation of dialogue, but voices its concern over a "possibility of separation of a part of Kosovo-Metohija from Serbia being imposed under the guise of a purported delineation between Serbs and Albanians," the SPC Holy Assembly of Bishops has said in a statement released after an extraordinary session.

Reiterating that the sovereignty and integrity of Serbia in Kosovo-Metohija must not be put into question at any cost, the Assembly on Wednesday called on Serbian state officials to devote more attention to building a state and national platform whose preparation would involve all relevant social factors, rather than to seeking a quickest possible agreement with Pristina.
