BELGRADE - In 2019, the Serbian Ministry of Economy will focus on four issues: on privatisations and bankruptcies, on investments, on the SME sector and on continuing the implementation of infrastructure projects, Dragan Stevanovic, state secretary with the ministry, announced on Friday.

Responding to a comment that 2018 had been the best year for the Serbian economy over the past ten years and that privatisation of the Bor mining and smelting complex was highly praised by economists, Stevanovic said the ministry would be trying to maintain the trend this year and step up its intensity.

Due to a range of the ministry's competences, it cannot be said it will have one single priority but it will try to work on all four things "at the same time and in parallel," Stevanovic said.
