BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Thursday spoke with Richard Moore, director general for political affairs at the UK's Foreign Office, who said efforts to find a way to reach a compromise solution for Kosovo-Metohija must be continued.

Brnabic said the introduction of taxes on Serbian goods, the establishment of a Kosovo army and the adoption of a platform were moves demonstrating that Pristina was not thinking about dialogue and that it was rejecting any possibility of seeking a compromise solution, the government press office said in a statement.

Pristina's actions have a negative impact on the lives of all citizens of Kosovo-Metohija regardless of their ethnicity, as well as on stability in the entire region, she said.

Such moves are counterproductive, Brnabic said, expressing the hope there would be adequate pressure from the international community that would lead to a revocation of the taxes and to creating conditions for the dialogue to continue.
