Dinar to hit new high against euro, rate at RSD 117.7585

The Serbian dinar will hit a new 2019 high against the euro Friday and the official median exchange rate will be 117.7585 dinars for one euro, which is a slight change from Thursday, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced.

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar will hit a new 2019 high against the euro Friday and the official median exchange rate will be 117.7585 dinars for one euro, which is a slight change from Thursday, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced.

The dinar will rise 0.2 pct against the euro m-o-m, 0.3 pct y-o-y and 0.4 pct compared to the beginning of the year.

The indicative exchange rate against the dollar dropped 0.2 pct to 104.6463 dinars for one dollar Thursday.

The dinar weakened 0.5 pct against the dollar m-o-m, declining 3.4 pct y-o-y and 1.2 pct since the beginning of the year.

The NBS has bought 1.55 bln euros and sold 130 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb excessive daily exchange rate fluctuations.

The dinar hit a 2019 low on January 29, when one euro was exchanged for 118.4940 dinars.
