BELGRADE - Serbia will continue to pursue its own interests, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djurich said today on the occasion of Quint's announcement, pointing out that those who violate the CEFTA agreement and those who defend themselves against unlawful membership of a part of their territory cannot be treated equally in international organizations.

"There can be no artificial balance because it is not the same when one fights against unlawful membership in international organizations and when one violates the CEFTA agreement and international treaties, Djurich said at an extraordinary press conference.

Djuric also claimed that the Quinta joint statement contained „several contentious matters“ for Serbia. He added that this statement also „shows what outcome of the talks they want in the future and what they will work for“.

The Quint countries today called on Pristina and Belgrade to reopen the dialogue as soon as possible, stressing that Pristina must abolish taxes and for Belgrade to suspend its campaign to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's independence.
