NEW YORK - Following a conversation with National Bank of Serbia Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said Serbia might this year surpass the record year of 2018 in terms of the volume of FDI.

"According to the Financial Times, we were world champions in terms of FDI last year, and this year we might surpass last year's results by 30-40 pct," Vucic told the RTS from New York late Wednesday.

To achieve that, we must continue to pursue a smart, wise and responsible policy, he said.

He also said all his discussion partners in the US had congratulated him on Serbia's excellent economic results.
