BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday met with Air Chief Marshal Stuart Peach, chairman of the NATO Military Committee, and expressed satisfaction with the established mutual trust and good cooperation with NATO, which he said was developing with a respect of Serbia's military neutrality.

According to a statement from the presidential press office, Vucic highlighted the significance of coordinating a new cycle of the Individual Partnership Action Plan and noted the Serbian Armed Forces were strengthening their interoperability through joint activities with NATO.

"President Vucic said the presence of KFOR troops in Kosovo-Metohija was a guarantee of security and that the responsibility to react in crisis situations rested upon those troops. Therefore, he once again called for maintaining regular communication between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR, stressing the necessity of establishing contact quickly in case of a security threat in the north of Kosovo-Metohija," the statement said.

Vucic reiterated Serbia was continuing to push for reaching a permanent, sustainable compromise in the dialogue with Pristina because the policy it was advocating was one of peace, cooperation and stability in the region as a basis of economic and any other form of progress, the statement also said.
