BERLIN - German businesspeople believe reforms are positive for the business environment in Serbia, but see the frozen conflict in Kosovo-Metohija as a source of instability, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said in Berlin Tuesday.

Brnabic was speaking to reporters after a meeting with Mario Ohoven, president of the German Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises, to whom she outlined Serbia's tax and legal framework, which today positions the country as an innovation- and knowledge-oriented economy.

She said German businesspeople had given positive assessments of Serbian reforms concerning e-government and the fight against corruption, but that the relations with Pristina and the frozen conflict in Kosovo-Metohija had been identified as a source of instability.

She also said the association representatives had noted that more must be done in terms of regional connectivity and stability.

"We talked about ways of additional cooperation in the field of education and entrepreneurship, and about ways of bringing Serbia closer to the German economy, especially when it comes to innovation, IT and investing in development," she said.
