BELGRADE - Serbia's ICT services exports are seeing constant and stable growth with a tendency of further increase, reaching 913 mln euros in the first eight months of this year - twice as much compared to the same period of 2016 and as much as 26.4 pct more compared to last year, the Serbian government has said.

What is particularly encouraging is a trade surplus that is much higher in the ICT sector when compared to traditional economic sectors.

According to a National Bank of Serbia balance of payment report, the surplus is currently at around half a billion euros, a government statement said.

The ICT sector, which has been the focus of PM Ana Brnabic's government from the very beginning, will remain so, being Serbia's most promising economic sector and one of the biggest drivers of the country's economic growth, the statement said.
