Q4 2019 average incomes per household at 68,446 dinars

In Q4 2019, the Serbian average monthly incomes in cash and in kind per household amounted to 68,446 dinars, while expenditures for personal consumption totalled 68,658 dinars, according to the national statistical office RZS.

BELGRADE - In Q4 2019, the Serbian average monthly incomes in cash and in kind per household amounted to 68,446 dinars, while expenditures for personal consumption totalled 68,658 dinars, according to the national statistical office RZS.

Compared to Q4 2018, the average monthly incomes per household rose 4 pct in nominal terms and expenditures for personal consumption rose by the same percentage.

The average monthly incomes per household in the final quarter of 2019 grew 2.3 pct in nominal terms compared to the previous quarter, while expenditures rose by an equal percentage.

Incomes resulting from full-time employment accounted for most of the household incomes (49.2 pct), followed by pensions (32.2 pct), agriculture, hunting and fishing (4.9 pct), natural consumption (3.1 pct), incomes outside of full-time employment (2.9 pct) and incomes from social insurance (2.7 pct), while incomes from other sources accounted for 5 pct of the total.

Expenditures for food and non-alcoholic beverages accounted for the largest part of household consumption (34.3 pct), followed by expenditures for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (17 pct).
