BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Kallenius in Belgrade on Friday, noting that the meeting was just the start of cooperation with the automotive company, which he said would have a responsible partner in Serbia.

"A great honour for our country to host the main man of Mercedes-Benz Group, a global giant and the leader in innovative technologies in the automotive industry. With Ola Kallenius, I am discussing all advantages and challenges in the production of electric vehicles, as well as the highest world standards on which his company is insisting in an uncompromising manner and which we will definitely meet," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

Besides resources and an excellent business environment, Serbia also has the best engineers and young professionals who have a desire for work, knowledge and training and dream of "working for a company like Mercedes-Benz one day," he added.

"We also discussed additional opportunities for cooperation because Serbia is growing strongly and unstoppably, opening up its potentials to the biggest players in world business. I expressed my confidence that this is just the start of cooperation with the famous Mercedes-Benz, which will have a responsible and serious partner and host in our country, as well as all conditions for further development and expansion of business operations. Proud of Serbia!" Vucic posted.
