Vucic announces 11 pct pension increase, says minimum salary could exceed 50,000 dinars

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Thursday pensions would be increased by 11 pct before January next year.

In a public address, Vucic said he had requested that the minimum monthly salary in the country significantly exceed 50,000 dinars but that negotiations on an increase were still pending.

He also said the Serbian Q2 GDP stood at 4.2 pct compared to 4.7 pct in Q1, making the Serbian economy one of the best performers in Europe.
