IMF mission meets with Serbian delegation at NBS
BELGRADE A plenary meeting between an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission and a Serbian delegation headed by National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic was held at the NBS in Belgrade on Thursday.
Tabakovic is also the Serbian governor to the IMF.
The talks were also attended by Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic and their aides, the NBS said in a statement.
"The IMF mission, led by Mr Donal McGettigan, will be staying in Belgrade until October 15 to discuss the fourth and last review of the standby arrangement (SBA) approved by the IMF to Serbia on December 19, 2022," it said.
The discussions will address the latest macroeconomic developments, economic prospects and risks and the implementation of the agreed economic programme.
"The third review of Serbia’s performance under the programme was concluded by the IMF Board of Executive Directors in July 2024," the central bank noted.
