Vucic: Fitch, Moody's to give Serbia investment-grade ratings next year at latest
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday he believed Serbia would get investment-grade credit ratings from both Fitch and Moody's next year at the latest.
"I made a mistake (at a Serbia-Japan business forum) today. I believe that this year we will begin the process of getting (investment-grade) credit ratings (from both Fitch and Moody's) and finish it next year at the latest," Vucic explained to reporters at a ceremony at the Security and Information Agency.
He was referring to a statement he made earlier in the day, in which he announced the two credit rating agencies would give Serbia investment-grade ratings by the end of this year.
On October 4, Standard & Poor's upgraded Serbia's credit rating to BBB-.
