BELGRADE - At a meeting with Luxembourgish Ambassador to Belgrade Marc Hubsch, Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said a graphene nanotube factory - a first major Luxembourgish investment in Serbia - represented a new page in the history of the relations between the two countries.

Graphene nanotubes are used in production of e-vehicles.

"This is a new page in the history of the relations between our countries, the first major investment from Luxembourg after Serbia has firmly positioned itself on Europe's investment map with a record-breaking 4.5 bln euro FDI inflow. We welcome Luxembourg's decision to invest here and we are hoping for new projects," Mali said at the meeting, held before the opening of the factory in Stara Pazova near Belgrade.

Serbia has paved its path to the EU and it is staying on that path, which is also the path of the country's development across all sectors, including the energy sector, education, green projects and development of infrastructure needed by investors, he said.

Hubsch noted that the investment would encourage Luxembourg to be even more active in the future and define all opportunities for further investments in Serbia.
