Begovic, Kazakh minister discuss cooperation in AI

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic met with Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev on Monday to discuss bilateral cooperation in digitalisation, innovation and artificial intelligence (AI).

The topic of the meeting was Serbia's support for Kazakhstan's accession to the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) and cooperation on strategic biotech and AI projects.

They discussed development of a BIO4 campus in Belgrade and an AI complex in Astana, built as part of the EXPO pavilion.

The statement also said that, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Serbian companies were expected to visit Kazakhstan in the coming period to establish direct contacts with Kazakh firms, with an official scientific visit to Kazakhstan also due by the end of the year.
