Tanjug signs new contract with ANSA to boost cooperation
BELGRADE - Serbia's Tanjug News Agency and the leading Italian news agency ANSA on Monday renewed a contract on inter-agency cooperation, and Tacno Director Manja Grcic said cooperation with serious international agencies was very important for Tanjug.
Tacno is the holder of the Tanjug trademarks.
The new contract was signed by Grcic and ANSA Director Stefano De Alessandri.
Its signing was also attended by Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori.
"This is a very important document for Tanjug. ANSA is the largest Italian news agency, it has over 500 employees and we are very happy that the most serious international agencies want to cooperate with us," Grcic said.
Grcic said Tanjug and ANSA would be exchanging information and media content and noted that she and De Alessandri had also discussed ways of expanding the cooperation between the two agencies.
"I think that exchanging know-how and new technology is the most important thing because, for us, it is very important that Tanjug continues to develop," she also noted.
"We are very pleased that we are renewing the contract with Tanjug and we see that as the first step towards boosting our cooperation," De Alessandri said.
Gori said the cooperation between the agencies was very important for overall bilateral ties between Serbia and Italy.
"We want to boost our bilateral cooperation, both politically and economically," he added.
