Chambers of commerce of Serbia, Dubai to set up business council
DUBAI - The chambers of commerce of Serbia and Dubai will set up a joint business council that will include all of the most significant companies in Serbia and Dubai.
This was agreed at Thursday's meeting between Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) President Marko Cadez and Dubai Chambers President Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah.
The new council will also be actively involved in the organisation of a Belgrade business forum planned to follow in the wake of the signing of a Serbia-UAE FTA.
The forum will bring to Belgrade some of the most significant Dubai-based companies interested in investing in Serbia, the PKS said in a statement.
"Today we received official confirmation that we will be organising a major Dubai economic mission in Belgrade in the first quarter of next year. We expect all of the top businesspeople from Dubai, they are very interested in investing in our companies, as well as in investing in new innovative solutions. They are very interested in what kick-started Serbia to become a hub for new technologies and IT," Cadez said.
