Serbia welcomes 87.3 pct more foreign tourists in January-November 2022

BELGRADE - A total 3.58 mln tourists visited Serbia between January and November 2022, which was a 53.9 pct increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

The number of Serbian tourists was 1.96 mln, or up by 34.2 pct y-o-y, while the number of foreign visitors jumped by 87.3 pct to 1.61 mln, the national statistical office has said.

In November alone, the total number of tourist visits was up by 49.2 pct y-o-y, the number of Serbian visitors was up by 35.1 pct y-o-y and the number of foreign visitors up by 68.8 pct y-o-y.

The total number of overnight stays in November was up by 39.8 pct y-o-y.

Overnight stays by Serbian tourists were up by 40.6 pct y-o-y and those generated by foreign tourists were up by 38.7 pct y-o-y.

Between the beginning of January and the end of November, overall overnight stays were up by 36.5 pct y-o-y.

Overnight stays by Serbian visitors were up by 29.1 pct y-o-y and foreign tourists generated 49.6 pct more overnight stays compared to the same period of 2021.
