Vucic: Serbia open to all ideas on common regional market
SKOPJE - Regional connectivity is very significant, green lanes at border crossings are of the greatest importance for the Western Balkans and Serbia will be open to all ideas on a common regional market and ready to implement them, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a Western Balkans-EU summit in Skopje on Monday.
"Green lanes are more important to us than a Single European Payment Area, which is important, too. I do not neglect or underestimate the significance of SEPA, but green lanes are of the greatest importance to us. They will be greatly beneficial for creating a better business environment for all of us, for our people as well as for all others who would like to invest in this region," Vucic said at a meeting on an EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
"We must align when it comes to economic measures, the subsidies policy and everything else before we join the EU," he also said.
