Air Serbia has carried one million passengers since beginning of 2024
BELGRADE - Air Serbia announced it had carried its one-millionth passenger in 2024 on Thursday, adding that it had achieved this two weeks earlier compared to 2023, when it carried its millionth passenger on May 8.
"Last year was very successful for us, and the results achieved so far show that 2024 has started well. One million carried passengers in less than four months is an exceptional result that we can be proud of," said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
In a statement, Air Serbia said it would operate scheduled and charter flights to over 90 destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America during the summer season.
"In addition to its hub Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the Serbian national airline also operates flights from Nis Constantine the Great Airport and the Morava International Airport near Kraljevo.
In 2023, the Serbian national airline carried a total of 4.19 mln passengers in scheduled and charter traffic, marking the third-best result in its nearly 97-year-long history. With three international airports in Serbia - the main Belgrade airport, as well as Nis and Kraljevo airports, Air Serbia completed over 45,000 flights, which is 44 pct more compared to 2022," the statement also said.
