Mesarovic takes over as minister of economy

BELGRADE - Serbia's new Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic officially took over from former Minister Slobodan Cvetkovic on Monday.

They signed the records of handover of duty and exchanged views on current economic affairs.

"I am honoured and grateful for the opportunity that was given to me, to take over the duty of minister of economy in the government of the Republic of Serbia. For me, this is a great professional challenge, but an even greater responsibility. I will be trying to justify the trust placed in me with my work and my results," a statement from the Ministry of Economy quoted Mesarovic as saying.

We must work more than we have before to accomplish the goals set by PM Milos Vucevic, she said.

"It was an honour and a privilege to serve at this ministry. I wish Minister Mesarovic good luck and success in her further work and I am certain she will respond to all challenges in the best possible way," Cvetkovic said.
