BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Monday Serbia was undoubtedly facing pressure that was greater than ever and impacted it directly and indirectly, and noted that it was important for the country to remain united amid such a global crisis, problems and challenges.
We can deal with such challenges only if our economy is strong, Mali noted.
"The stronger and more stable we are economically, the higher our GDP is, the higher the numbers of our employed people and factories are, the stronger we are in terms of resisting various pressures. In the first quarter of this year, Serbia's GDP rose to 4.6 pct and we are fully stable. Finding sources of growth is the key thing in today's global economy," Mali said on Happy TV.
As part of the Leap into the Future 2027 programme, Serbia plans to carry out 323 projects across the country as a development opportunity for boosting the quality of life and infrastructure as well as salaries and wages, Mali said.
