BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic visited the headquarters of the Japanese pharmaceuticals firm Takeda on Tuesday and noted that a Serbian delegation had presented Serbia as a country where the company could invest and become a part of the BIO4 Campus and a new biotech system.
Begovic said the cooperation with Takeda to date had been analysed, noting that the company was extremely successful in telemedicine, biomedicine and rare disease diagnostics.
"We invited the Takeda representatives to come to Serbia by the end of the year so that we can discuss an expansion of the company's activities in our country," Begovic said.
Begovic said further cooperation between the BIO4 Campus and Takeda on various biomedicine-related projects as well as application of artificial intelligence in medicine had been discussed as well.
