Mali: US companies welcome at EXPO 2027
BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met with US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill on Friday to discuss participation of US companies at the specialised EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Belgrade, and noted that the event was a big opportunity for all companies and that US firms were welcome, too.
According to a statement released by the Finance Ministry, Mali said a race among companies for positions in the EXPO 2027 pavilions has already begun.
"America has a strong economy and it would be nice if it gave a good presentation of itself at the event," Mali said, noting that interest among companies in the initial stage of preparations for the expo was high.
He informed Hill of the planned stages of development of an EXPO 2027 complex and noted that works to build a national football stadium were also progressing well.
"Everything must be finished in two and a half years, so there is no time to waste and works are proceeding in parallel on all locations. We have great plans and Serbia will not miss the opportunity to show the entire world how much progress we have made in all fields," Mali said.
"With EXPO, we have found a new source of growth that we will use for large projects across Serbia to enable the whole country to feel betterment," Mali said.
