Vucic congratulates Venezuelan President Maduro on election win

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday on his election win and wished him success with his professional efforts and challenges in leading his country.

"I extend to you my congratulations on your election win. The times we live in are certainly not easy and I wish you success with your professional efforts and challenges in leading the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela," Vucic wrote in a congratulatory note.

Vucic noted that Serbia appreciates Venezuela's respect for the principles of international law, the UN Charter and UNSCR 1244, whereby it supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, the presidential press office said in a statement.
