Djuric: Serbia's position improving significantly

NEW YORK - Serbian FM Marko Djuric said in New York on Thursday the way Serbia had presented itself at the UN General Assembly session in the past week had perhaps been the most comprehensive in 12 years and that the country's position was improving significantly thanks to the amount of effort it was investing.

"Serbia presented a different vision of the region in New York tonight. A vision through which the region we live in will become a region of success. A region focusing on new technologies, cooperation and artificial intelligence, rather than on divisions, conflicts and absurd feuds, which dominate European and even global politics," Djuric said after hosting a Serbia Beyond Future reception.

He said there had been "attempts by various actors from the region and our southern province (of Kosovo-Metohija) to put various labels on Serbia" but that Serbia would not respond in kind, but speak everywhere about the difficult position of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija as a result of a destructive policy of the provisional Pristina institutions.
