Dacic meets with Italian ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met with Italian Ambassador to Belgrade Luca Gori on Monday.
The two officials expressed interest in further deepening of overall cooperation and the strategic partnership between their countries.
Dacic said a fourth joint session of the Serbian and Italian governments and a Serbia-Italy business forum, both scheduled for March 21 in Belgrade, would undoubtedly help to deepen the cooperation.
Dacic thanked Italy for its strong and continued support to Serbia's European path, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Gori said the business forum would focus on three sectors - the energy and green transition, agriculture and agritechnology and infrastructure.
He said the three sectors were the main areas in which Italy wanted to invest and develop the partnership with Serbia.
Gori noted that Italy would be the partner country at the Novi Sad Agriculture Fair in May and that many companies would come to establish or develop economic ties with Serbia.
Dacic and Gori exchanged views on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and agreed that continued dialogue was the only and the right way to reach a sustainable agreement.
