SKOPJE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic said on Monday in Skopje it was good Pristina had lowered long-running tensions by lifting a ban on products from central Serbia at the Merdare administrative crossing but that regular supplies of food and medicines for Serbs in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija were the most important matter.

Vucevic, who is on an official visit to North Macedonia, said he would like Pristina's decision to apply to all administrative crossings but that he supported everything that helped Kosovo-Metohija Serbs to live better and in greater safety.

He noted that the essence was whether they could be given easier access to all they had been denied by Albin Kurti's irresponsible policy.

"This is a good effort from the German side, which has been pushing for a new stage of the CEFTA agreement. We are always ready for agreements and we do not think compromise is a bad thing, especially if it will create better living conditions for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija," Vucevic said.

He said he expected lifting the ban at other administrative crossings as well to be "a topic in Berlin on October 14, at a meeting of PMs with (German) Chancellor (Olaf) Scholz about the 10 years of the Berlin Process."

"We will be discussing CEFTA as well," he added.
