HAMBURG - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday in Hamburg Pristina would keep doing everything in its power and even use tricks to deny entry to goods from central Serbia but that Germany would continue to insist on free movement of goods and services.

Asked to comment on Berlin's warning that Pristina's EU admission would be blocked unless it lifted a ban on Serbian goods, as well as on Pristina's subsequent decision to lift the ban at the Merdare administrative crossing under certain conditions, Vucic responded:

"Everyone saw what Pristina's intentions are but, knowing the Germans, I know they will continue to insist on free movement of goods and services."

"That is important for the Serbian economy. Will they (Pristina) do everything they can to stop that? Well, yes," Vucic said, adding that he knew Pristina would now make up a story about scanners it would need to wait for for 11 months and then 22 months.

He said Pristina's PM Albin Kurti kept making things up but knew that, when things were taking place according to the rules and with respect for fundamental freedoms supported by the EU and the entire civilised world, Serbia, "being the dominant economy in the Western Balkans, can certainly exercise its interests."
