BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian parliamentary committee on Kosovo-Metohija Milovan Drecun said on Tuesday all subsequent proposals regarding the form of a Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija were attempts of political manoeuvring aimed at conforming the Community to Pristina's views.

In a statement to the RTS ahead of a parliament session on Kosovo-Metohija, Drecun said there was no space for other proposals as the Brussels Agreement clearly defined the process of forming the Community.

"The six-point First Brussels Agreement defines that there will be an association of Kosovo municipalities where the Serbs are the majority, a community where the Serbs are the majority population, which means that there are also people of other ethnicities... It also defines that the two sides will set up a steering team to form the Community and that it will be comprised of representatives of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, and that they will draw up the articles of association, which they have done," Drecun said.

There is no continuation of dialogue or a return of Serbs to Pristina's institutions until the Community of Serb Municipalities is formed, after which the European proposal for Kosovo-Metohija can be discussed, Drecun said.

Commenting on the French-German proposal, Drecun said Serbia's red lines must not be crossed.

"There is no UN membership for Kosovo as far as we are concerned and we will not accept the false state of Kosovo, but everything else can be discussed," he said.
