Vucic: Discussion with Erdogan addressed all major topics and problems
BELGRADE - Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Belgrade and the signing of bilateral agreements, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the discussion with Erdogan had addressed all major geopolitical and other topics as well as problems faced by Serbia and Turkey, either together or individually.
"Let me welcome our friend again - I am confident that his visit will contribute to further development and advancement of Serbia-Turkey relations. I am grateful to President Erdogan for always expressing the good will to visit our country and to openly discuss all issues, which are not always easy," Vucic said.
He said they had discussed "all major geopolitical topics, but also problems faced by Serbia and Turkey individually, and, in some cases, together, too."
He said the meeting had addressed the two countries' relations with the EU when it comes to their European paths, as well as the EU's attitude towards them.
"And I also found out and learned a lot about some other initiatives at global level, and I believe Serbia and its citizens will benefit significantly from this discussion. I am trying to assess new things and put them into practice in the best possible way with friends from the Vucevic government," Vucic said.
