Podesta: Von der Leyen to visit Belgrade next Friday

BRUSSELS - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Belgrade on Friday, October 25, for meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and PM Milos Vucevic, European Commission deputy spokesperson Arianna Podesta announced.

At a Brussels press briefing, Podesta said von der Leyen would on Wednesday begin a trip to the Western Balkans and arrive in Serbia next Friday, after a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Later, the President will travel to Belgrade, in Serbia. There, she will meet with the President, Aleksandar Vucic and the PM, Milos Vucevic," she said.

Podesta said von der Leyen would also visit Tirana, Skopje, Pristina and Podgorica during the trip to the region.
