BELGRADE The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Monday Belgrade was always committed to dialogue on solving key issues for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija but that Pristina had a problem with dialogue on a Community of Serb Municipalities and on fulfilment of all reached agreements.
Speaking to reporters at the Office for Kosovo-Metohija booth at the Belgrade International Book Fair, Petkovic said he could not expect anything from the upcoming round of the EU-facilitated Brussels dialogue, announced for October 24, due to his past experiences with talks and meetings in Brussels.
"Belgrade is always committed to dialogue and to honouring every invitation by (EU) special envoy Miroslav Lajcak, and to going to Brussels with our experts. We have no problem with meeting and having discussions - it is Pristina that always has a problem with having a sit-down to hold discussions with Belgrade, discuss the Community of Serb Municipalities and fulfilment of all previous agreements we have signed," Petkovic said.
He noted that the Community was 11 years overdue and that all developments in Kosovo-Metohija, including repression and escalatory moves made by Pristina and its PM Albin Kurti on a daily basis, were aimed at expelling the Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija.
