Chollet: Support for Serbia's engagement on dialogue with Kosovo, peace in region

WASHINGTON - In a conversation with Serbian FM Ivica Dacic, US Department of State Counsellor Derek Chollet backed Serbia's engagement on the dialogue with Pristina and efforts to promote greater peace and security in the region.

In a Twitter post that also included a photo of the Washington meeting with Dacic, Chollet said they had met on Wednesday following a phone conversation between US State Secretary Antony Blinken and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

"Great meeting with Serbian FM Dacic today. Reaffirmed long-standing friendship between the US and Serbia and expressed support for Serbia’s engagement on Dialogue with Kosovo and efforts to promote greater peace and security in the region," Chollet added.
