BELGRADE - At a meeting with Danish Minister for European Affairs Marie Bjerre in Belgrade, Serbian FM Marko Djuric noted that full EU membership remained Serbia's strategic commitment and foreign policy priority.

Djuric thanked Denmark for supporting Serbia on that path and welcomed the adoption of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, noting that the initiative would accelerate the development of the region's economies, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

He noted that the Kosovo-Metohija issue was a top national and state interest of Serbia and informed Bjerre of the very difficult situation Serbs in the province are in.

Speaking about the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Djuric said Belgrade was constructive and committed to normalisation of relations, while Pristina was demonstrating an extreme lack of readiness to implement agreements.

Djuric also informed Bjerre of Serbia economic successes in the past decade, its major investments in infrastructure and the fact it is now recognised as a country with exceptional potential as well as results achieved in the ICT sector.

Djuric noted that Serbia remained strongly committed to cooperation with international partners and that it looked to the future, with emphasis on developing economic and all other forms of mutually beneficial cooperation.
