Vucevic meets with China's Li
SHANGHAI - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic met on Tuesday in Shanghai with Chinese PM Li Qiang, with whom he confirmed the steely friendship between the two countries, inviting him to visit Serbia next year.
Li accepted the invitation, also inviting Vucevic to an official visit to China.
Vucevic thanked Li for the hospitality and for the opportunity to attend the 7th China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
He also congratulated Li on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of PR China.
He noted that, during Xi Jinping's visit to Serbia, the Chinese president and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic had set the directions for further cooperation, raising bilateral relations to a higher level.
Besides economic cooperation, Serbia is interested in boosting cooperation in education, science and health care.
Vucevic thanked China for its principled position on the Kosovo-Metohija issue and for voting against a Srebrenica resolution in the UNGA.
Li noted that China and Serbia had entered a new chapter of bilateral relations, raised to a higher level by "building a community for a shared future," the Serbian government said in a statement.
He expressed the hope Chinese businesspeople would take advantage of the benefits of a FTA with Serbia and imports of Serbian products.
