BELGRADE - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) President Marko Cadez will be representing Serbia at all international forums of the Trilateral Commission in the next three years.

In line with a regular rotation policy, Cadez will succeed Zivorad Vasic, who had a successful term as a Serbian representative at the Commission, the PKS said in a statement.

It said Cadez would be working on initiatives aimed at forging stronger ties between Trilateral Commission members in southeastern Europe and that Serbia would present itself, through joint projects and forums, as a leader in innovation, green transition and economic development, using its strategic position and resources as a starting point.

Cadez will help promote Serbia's strategic interests, especially in the context of technological development and use of natural resources such as lithium, which position Serbia as an important actor in energy transition and global innovation, the statement noted.

Cadez will be joining a group of Serbian representatives comprised of Aleksandra Drecun, Aleksandar Lalic and Jovan Kovacic, who is also a member of the Trilateral Commission's Executive Committee.

Cadez said membership in the Trilateral Commission represented a unique opportunity to help shape global policies and to present regional potentials, such as those of Serbia, in the appropriate light.

"The focus of my work will be on promoting Serbia's tech boom, sustainable development and strengthening of regional cooperation," Cadez said.
