BELGRADE - In a public address about the incident in Zubin Potok and the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said a major, fierce hybrid attack against Serbia had been attempted on Saturday.

"We have been monitoring closely all the statements made by Pristina officials, their international sponsors and those they are paying well to represent their policy, as well as their media, but we could not hear a lot of facts," Vucic said.

A blast in the Varage village near Zubin Potok in the north of Kosovo-Metohija damaged the Ibar-Lepenac aquaduct on Friday, cutting off water supply in the area.

Pristina branded the incident as a "terrorist" attack, blaming Belgrade for it.

In the first wave of accusations, Pristina blamed Belgrade and Serbia, Vucic said, noting that neither Belgrade nor Serbia had known anything about the incident and that an investigation would point to the potential perpetrator.

"That is why it needs to be clear why we are so calm and why we will be insisting much more on this case, and that we will literally not let go of it," Vucic said.

"There is no involvement of Belgrade in this, and we will see who was involved," he said.

"We, too, are conducting an investigation of our own, of course... We think we have certain information also about who the perpetrator might be. We will continue to work diligently but we will not be informing the public until we are finished with that," he said.

Vucic said Belgrade stood ready to cooperate both with EULEX and the Pristina police.

"We are completely open to full cooperation with EULEX, KFOR, with everyone, on any issue. They, and even Pristina, can get all our information and everything they want at any time. That is how open and absolutely ready we are to discuss everything that happened," Vucic said.
