Srpska lista to run in February 9 elections in Kosovo-Metohija

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Srpska lista, a political organisation of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs, announced on Friday it would run in the February 9 elections in the province, noting that it was the only party representing the interests of Serbs living there.

In a statement, it said that, a day after a shameful incident and a violation of laws and the human and political rights of Serbs by the speaker of Pristina's assembly, who banned Srpska lista representatives from attending a session of the body, international representatives in Kosovo-Metohija remained silent even though they had requested at all meetings with the Srpska lista leadership that the party run in elections and participate in the work of institutions.

Srpska lista noted that it was the only party representing the interests of Serbs in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija and was thus "a thorn in the side" of Albin Kurti's regime, but also of international representatives.

"That is why we take the opportunity to inform the public that Srpska lista, stronger than ever, will run in the elections and that we will win all ten seats allocated for the Serbs and that we will preserve the unity of Serbs in this territory, and that, in the elections, the Serbs will show everyone who they trust and who they want as their representatives," the statement notes.
