BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic received Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and overall cooperation between Serbia and Russia.

Vucevic thanked the government of the Russian Federation and Russian energy firm Gazprom for additional natural gas supplies provided to Serbia for the winter season, the Serbian government said in a statement.

Botsan-Kharchenko said he was pleased with cooperation underway through a Serbia-Russia intergovernmental committee on trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation - chiefly aimed at boosting bilateral trade - and noted that hosting the specialised EXPO 2027 was a major opportunity for Serbia and its economic development, as well as an opportunity to promote the country globally.

The ambassador conveyed to Vucevic regards and best wishes for his birthday from Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin and former PM Dmitry Medvedev.
