BELGRADE - Pointing out the difficult position of Serbs in Republika Srpska and in Serbia's Kosovo-Metohija province, as well as potential US sanctions on Serbia's majority Russian-owned oil company NIS and attacks from within the country, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday it was clear a collapse of Serbia was the ultimate objective but that, in spite of that, "we will not give Serbia away to anyone" and that "Serbia will not stop."

In an Instagram post, Vucic warned that Serbs in Republika Srpska were in an increasingly difficult situation and that, according to information he had obtained, the Republika Srpska parliament would meet on Tuesday and that, at the same time, Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was trying to eliminate Srpska lista, his sole political opponent in Kosovo-Metohija.

With assistance from his allies, Kurti wants to exterminate Serbs in the province, Vucic noted.

He also said he expected sanctions against NIS to be announced within seven days.

"If you add to that the impassioned attacks from various pressure groups within the country, it is clear to everyone the ultimate objective is a collapse of Serbia. We will not give Serbia away to anyone and Serbia will not stop! No surrender," Vucic wrote in the post.

"If God is with you, what are you are afraid of? If he is not, what are you hoping for?" he added.
