BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic has advised the heads of Serbian diplomatic and consular missions to be even more agile and braver in representing the country's interests.

Addressing the 2024 Ambassadorial Conference on Monday evening, Vucevic said he was pleased the MFA has reinstated the practice of holding annual ambassadorial conferences.

"It is something that is encouraging and that demonstrates that Serbia will prepare the work of diplomatic and consular representative offices, and the protection of Serbia's positions on all issues that are on the agenda and that are the most important for national and state unity, in a much more serious and much more detailed manner," Vucevic said.

He said the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and in the region, in Bosnia and Herzegovina in particular, was becoming more complicated and more complex.

"Many difficult days are behind us but I cannot say that easy days are coming," he said.

He said the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija was under constant pressure amid attempts to destabilise Serbia internally.

"The path to opening Cluster 3 (in the EU accession talks) is difficult, too. For three years now, we have been getting the message that the demands have been met, and then everything comes down to simple, harsh and sheer politics, while messages of encouragement are sent out to the entire region," Vucevic said.
