BELGRADE - After a discussion with US Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment Jose Fernandez on Thursday evening, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said there were no nice news for Serbians but that the country would preserve its stability and energy security.
In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic wrote that sanctions had been a special topic in the discussion but noted that he would be able to reveal the full details in the coming days.
"Certainly, there are not too many nice news for the citizens of Serbia, but Serbia will preserve its stability and energy security," Vucic added.
He wrote that the discussion with Fernandez was open, sincere and difficult.
"We discussed major issues of Serbia-US bilateral cooperation, especially in the energy sector. Sanctions were a special topic and I will be able to reveal the full details within a few days," he noted.
