Brnabic: Serbia, Western partners share same stance on Community
DUBAI - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Monday Serbia was always ready for dialogue and would always be there for discussions with Pristina, but that a Community of Serb Municipalities must be established and that, this time, this was a joint position of Serbia and Western partners, especially the EU and the US.
Brnabic said this in Dubai, where she is attending a World Government Summit.
Asked by reporters whether Serbia was ready to continue dialogue with Pristina and when that would happen, Brnabic said that, under President Aleksandar Vucic's leadership, Serbia had demonstrated how prepared it was for dialogue and how tolerant and flexible it was in order to maintain stability.
"Right now, the Community of Serb Municipalities is on the table. It is really high time now - but maybe it was five years ago - the Brussels Agreement was implemented and a Community of Serb Municipalities formed," she said, noting that the Brussels Agreement would turn ten years old in April.
"This time, I would like to thank our Western partners for insisting on the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities in the way we signed up to it in 2013 and 2015 and as we discussed it at the end of 2022. It seems to me that we have the same stance this time," Brnabic said.
Regardless of what Albin Kurti says, it is known what has been signed and what must be implemented, she said.
