Srpska lista holds final electoral rally in Zvecan

ZVECAN - Srpska lista - the largest political party of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs - on Friday held its final electoral rally in Zvecan, northern Kosovo-Metohija, ahead of the February 9 elections in the province.

Srpska lista officials said Serbs across Kosovo-Metohija must unite in support of the party to help it win all ten seats allocated for Serbs in the assembly in Pristina.

More than one thousand people gathered at the rally.

Srpska lista leader Zlatan Elek said it was the only party backed by the entire state of Serbia and its president, Aleksandar Vucic.

"In the past 27 days of this pre-election campaign, I toured entire Kosovo-Metohija together with my aides, and I saw a determined Serb population, a positive energy that will translate into an absolute victory of the Serbs and Srpska lista on February 9," Elek said, noting that an electoral victory of Srpska lista would be a victory of all those who had been suffering at the hands of the Pristina regime for years.

He said Sunday was not only election day, but the day of a referendum for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

Famous Serbian actor Lazar Ristovski also expressed support for Srpska lista, calling on the Serbs to put an end to divisions and show unity in the toughest of times.

"The most important thing now is to be together and to stand with Srpska lista," Ristovski said.
