TOPOLA - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and Republika Srpska PM Radovan Viskovic attended on Wednesday a memorial service held at Oplenac, central Serbia, as part of Statehood Day events.

After the service in St George's Church, led by Bishop of Sumadija Jovan, Brnabic and Viskovic laid wreaths at the sarcophagus of Djordje Karadjordje Petrovic (1768-1817), the leader of the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire.

Wreaths were also laid by Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic, Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces officials, members of the Karadjordjevic family and representatives of the King Peter I Endowment.

The officials also paid tributes outside the church as the Serbian national anthem was being performed by an army orchestra.
