BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told the Financial Times on Thursday he saw no change in the US attitude on sanctions on Serbia's majority Russian-owned oil company NIS and that, if the sanctions entered into force after the expiry of a Friday deadline, Serbia would first wait to see Russia's reaction and then react.
"We've been talking to the Americans, to the Russians, to everybody" about finding a solution, Vucic told the Financial Times in Belgrade.
If the sanctions enter into force, we will have to see the reaction of the Russian side as soon as possible, and then we will have to react as well, Vucic noted, adding that Russia's position was that it wanted to retain its stake in NIS at all costs.
