POZEGA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday an important discussion about natural gas supplies was ahead during his upcoming visit to Moscow and added that a Serbian delegation would be dispatched to Russia in the coming days to negotiate a new deal.

"Those are not simple or easy discussions for us, but I believe we will succeed in getting that done," Vucic told reporters.

He said he would go to Moscow for the May 9 Victory Day parade as the proud president of a country that had been one of the few to oppose fascism and Nazism even before 1944 and 1945.

"From the beginning until the end, the Serbs were anti-fascists, so that makes us different to all others around us, or the majority of those around us. I can say that of the brave Greek people, that they were absolutely anti-fascist," Vucic said.

He said that, while in Moscow, he would also try to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and added that many world leaders would attend the Moscow parade, including Indian PM Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

"(Uzbek President Shavkat) Mirziyoyev will be there, too, and I should meet with him," Vucic said, noting that Uzbekistan was seeing incredible growth.

"I see that the Hungarians have established exceptional cooperation with them, the Chinese have miraculous cooperation, and we, too, are looking to start cooperating with them as much as possible. I will have a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan, with my friend (Kazakh President Kassym) Jomart-Tokayev," he said.
